Medieval Knights
Knights, foot soldiers and archers were the three types of fighting men in medieval times. Knights were the strongest of the fighting men. They were covered in armor. They could plow through any foot soldier in their way. A knight was equal to a modern day tank.
There were a couple ways to become a knight. The 1st way was being a son of nobleman. They were sent away and trained to wrestle, ride horses and fight. They were taught to read, write, and speak Latin and French. The 2nd way was to fight for valor in a battle or doing well after a battle.
Being a knight was very expensive. A warhorse, armor, shields and weapons all cost a lot of money. A knight was the wealthiest of all the soldiers. They often got money and valuables from taking them after they captured a city in battle. Being a knight was a way of life in med-evil times. A war horse was about the same as a modern day tank.
